With a membership that includes 75% of secondary headteachers and representation in over 90% of schools, the benefits of SLS membership are not lost to the education profession in Scotland. SLS is an inclusive and supportive association, providing an influential and respected voice and representing the interests of our members across the country. Membership of SLS is more important than ever as the sector experiences the most significant changes and external pressures in a generation. Advice, support, information and training are all part of the services available to Scottish Leadership teams and the membership rates are very competitively priced too. SLS develops policies, position statements and parliamentary bulletins and press comment on important educational issues as they affect Scottish secondary schools. SLS represents and promotes the interests of secondary senior management team members. The association puts forward the views of those who manage Scottish secondary schools and so influences decision making at local and national level.

SLS membership includes experts in various fields and is represented on major local and national educational Bodies such as the General Teaching Council for Scotland, Learning and Teaching Scotland and the Scottish Qualifications Authority. SLS exerts a major influence upon the Scottish educational scene. Its voice is both heard and respected. Our influence is widely recognised at home and abroad and we command respect at all levels.
